Join us for "Courage for the Journey", this year's NC Women's Spring Brunch, Saturday April 23rd at 9:30am. The morning will include a delicious brunch, wonderful music and a powerful speaker, Julie Davenport, an ordained minister from Blue Springs Assembly.
If one word could depict a life, Julie Davenport’s would be “redemption.”
As a child in the Perkin household, Julie’s character was forged within a legacy of faith, godliness, and ministry. So when she married a charismatic young pastor on the fast-track to prominence, life was everything she’d dreamed it would be . . . on the outside. But inside, alone and hidden from view, Julie endured abuse, betrayal, and infidelities that spiraled to include miscarriage, cancer, divorce, mental illness, and eventually suicide.
With a BA in Art Education from Southwest MO State University, Julie served as a teacher and parent educator before attaining her license to minister with the Assemblies of God. Growing up in a pastor's home, as a pastor's wife for many years, as a lay person, and now as an ordained minister, Julie has served in ministry all of her life. Currently, through serving part-time on the pastoral staff at her home church and in speaking engagements locally, in other states, and overseas, God is using Julie beyond her life story to validate His immeasurable grace and prove His power to redeem, heal, and make us whole no matter the difficulties or tragedies we may face.
Come out to hear Julie's amazing testimony and be encouraged in your own journey. Early-bird tickets for the brunch are $10 and will be available in the concourse starting April 3rd.
