Psalm 111
“Great are the works of the LORD, studied by all who delight in them” (v2). The psalmist found that the more we contemplate the works of God, the ways of God, and the mercy of God, the more we know Him and delight in Him. His “wondrous works” include everything in our beautiful universe, and particularly, the ways in which He shows us His love: providing what we need, keeping His promises, and sending redemption (v5-9).
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding” (v10). Recognizing God’s goodness is the first step toward living our own lives with wisdom.
