Acts 22:17-30

“Go, for I will send you far away to the Gentiles” (v21).  The crowd listened to Paul explain, in Hebrew, the story of how he came to be a follower of Jesus the Messiah. “Up to this word they listened to him,” but when they heard that salvation was for Gentiles, too, they shouted “Away with such a fellow from the earth!” (v22).  They were interested in Jesus as their own Savior, but they rejected the idea that He was for people they considered pagans and foreigners.

“They will not accept your testimony about Me” (v18).  We can’t accept the grace of Jesus for ourselves unless we accept that “God so loved the world” (John 3:16).
