Psalm 105
“Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples!” (v1). The psalmist knew it was important to tell stories of God’s mighty acts both to praise Him and to teach about His character. “Remember the wondrous works that He has done, His miracles, and the judgments He uttered” (v5). When Israel was small and powerless, He “allowed no one to oppress them” (v14), and when they were hungry, He “gave them bread from heaven in abundance” (v40). He “remembers His covenant forever” (v8).
“Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually!” (v4). Telling stories of God’s provision, protection, and forgiveness strengthens our faith so that we can seek Him more.
