Isaiah 45-47
“Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth!” (45:22). Through Isaiah, God declared that His salvation was for “the ends of the earth.” God was concerned not just for Israel, but for the idol-worshipping nations of the world. He called to those who were far from Him, who mistakenly thought they were secure on their own (47:8): “Listen to me, you stubborn of heart, you who are far from righteousness: I bring near my righteousness; it is not far off, and my salvation will not delay” (46:12-13).
When we were “stubborn of heart” and “far from righteousness,” God loved us. He wants to work through us to bring His salvation to the ends of the earth.
