Titus 3

We are to behave in a manner that corresponds to "the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior." Paul encourages believers "to be submissive" to their pagan authorities and to demonstrate their faith not by "foolish controversies" nor "quarrels about the law," but instead we are "to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one... to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people."

Being a good citizen of God's kingdom demands that we are not people known for a quarrelsome spirit. In a world where irritability and confrontation are the norm, Paul reminds us that love and kindness are the Jesus-way.
