I have been young, and now I am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, or his descendants begging bread.
— Psalm 37:25

The Prime Time Adult Ministry of Northland Cathedral has as its purpose to communicate and share God's love to those over 50 years of age inside and outside the church family. The assumption behind the adult ministry, the groups, and activities, is that they exist for the purpose of serving, not being served; of giving, not receiving."

For information on these and other events continue reading below about some of the activities or contact Wayne & Ruth VanMeter.

Fellowship

TRIPS - One trip per year is planned. Past trips include: Iowa Tulip Festival, Branson, and other destinations.

GAME NIGHT - Laughter is "good medicine." Enjoy this ministry of fun the fourth Friday of each month and get to know others and make new friends.  Bring a potluck dish and join us every month at 6:00 pm in Room 24.  Dominoes, various card games, and Sequence are just a few of the fun games.

Ministries

RETIREMENT HOME MINISTRIES - Northland Cathedral ministers at several area assisted living/retirement homes. These services provide songs, inspiration through relationships, and ministry of the Word to those that need an uplift in their spirit.

These all occur every other week of the month:

Mondays: Primrose at 6:30 pm
Tuesdays: Garden Village at 6:30 pm
Thursdays: Addington Place at 6:00 pm & New Mark at 7:00 pm
Sundays: Benton House of Staley at 2:30 pm & Benton House of Tiffany Springs at 2:30 pm

Come join us in sharing with the residents. You will be greatly blessed. The people especially love music. If you can play the piano, sing or sing in a group, they would love have you come and minister. Maybe your gift is talking to the residents. Many of them are lonely and need someone to visit with and to listen to them. For more information, call Bob Pandolfi (816) 792-0008.

SHUT-IN MINISTRY - We encourage Prime Timers to visit Northland Cathedral members who are shut-in. These are people who have given of themselves physically and financially over the years and are no longer able to be in the church services.  We have many of our people who are not able to get out much and would love to have a visit.  You would bless them and leave blessed by them.

HOSPITAL VISITATION - Prime Timers often have more discretionary time and are able to minister to those in the local hospitals. This is a wonderful opportunity to minister to the sick.
