Acts 13
/“While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them" (v2). The Holy Spirit who “hovered over the waters” in Genesis 1 was in charge of spreading the good news about Jesus. The apostles still in Jerusalem were rather slow to accept what was happening in Antioch: the Spirit was calling people, even those on the fringes, to fulfill Jesus’ command to “go into all the world.”
“So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit …” (v4). The Holy Spirit is still calling and sending people so that the message of salvation can be heard around the world.
