II Chronicles 14-15
/“The LORD is with you while you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you” (15:2). King Asa of Judah had already determined to lead the nation in following God (14:4). Azariah’s prophecy helped him not to crumble under the intense pressure of foreign attacks and the constant temptation to idolatry. King Asa had already done “what was good and right” (14:2) by cutting down shrines and building up defenses, yet there was more to do.
“But you, take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded" (15:7). When we are weak, tired, and ready to give up, God is with us and will accomplish the work.
