Acts 24
/“Felix left Paul in prison” (v27). Paul, church-planter, evangelist, and teacher, was stuck in prison for years in Caesarea, awaiting trial or a judgment. The governor Felix “sent for him often and conversed with him” (v26), and he had many opportunities to share about “faith in Christ Jesus” as well as “righteousness and self-control and the coming judgment” (v25). Paul later explained that he had learned the secret of being “content” in every situation, because every situation was a unique opportunity to live for Christ (Phil 4:11).
Enforced waiting can be simply endured, or like Paul, Joseph, and Daniel, we can seize our unique opportunity to share about “the Way” (v14) and glorify God.
