Hebrews 11-13
/“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him” (v6). In this beautiful chapter, Paul draws a connecting line between Old Testament and New Testament believers, assuring us that everyone approaches God the same way: by faith. Noah, Abraham, Sarah and others didn’t earn God’s favor through obedience; instead, they obeyed because they believed: “the righteousness that comes from faith” (v7).
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen” (v1). When the truth of Jesus’ forgiveness and the power of His resurrection are real in our hearts, we live differently.
