Psalm 141-142
/“Attend to my cry, for I am brought very low! Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me!” (v6). David was a warrior-king, yet his songs are famous for their confessions of weakness and utter dependence on the Lord. Running for his life, he realized that most people were out to save themselves: “Look to the right and see: there is none who takes notice of me” (v4). But God’s love is totally dependable, infinite, and merciful.
“When my spirit faints within me, you know my way!” (v3). We were never meant to struggle through life alone. Through Jesus, we find fellowship with God and can know Him as refuge, savior, and friend.
