Revelation 16-17

"Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake …” (16:15).  At some specific time, according to John’s visions, God will pour out His wrath on those who continue in rebellion against Him, who do not “repent of their deeds” (16:11).  Though God is merciful and slow to anger, as the psalms say, He will not allow sin to destroy lives and harm the earth forever.  Believers are urged to heed the warning and “stay awake” to prepare for His coming.

“And the Lamb will conquer them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings” (17:14). After Jesus’ final victory, what remains is everyone and everything that belongs to His good kingdom.
