Jude
/“These are hidden reefs at your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear, shepherds feeding themselves; waterless clouds, swept along by winds; fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, uprooted” (v12). Jude warned believers to be on their guard against people who “crept in unnoticed” to the Christian community and enticed others to sin. “It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit” (v19). However, toward those who repented, Jude urged believers to “show mercy without fear” (v23).
Meanwhile, Jude had proactive advice for those desiring to follow Jesus: “Building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God” (v20-21).
