II Corinthians 6
“I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people … touch no unclean thing” (v16-17). Paul told the believers that they were “the temple of the living God” and, like ancient Israel, called to be holy. Like Paul and the apostles, the credibility of the Corinthians’ witness would be demonstrated by how they lived: “by purity, knowledge, patience, kindness, the Holy Spirit, genuine love; by truthful speech, and the power of God” (v6-7).
“I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me" (v18). The reality of Christ is evident when we live truly as God’s sons and daughters.
