Joshua 1
/“Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go” (v7). As Joshua took over the leadership of the Israelites, God commanded him to be “strong and courageous.” Joshua and the people had nothing to fear so long as they kept close to the Lord and His ways. No enemy could stand before them, and they would find “good success” in their new land, if they walked faithfully with God (v8).
“For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (v9). When we walk away from God, we sabotage ourselves; He calls us to obedience and fellowship with Him for our well-being.
