Psalm 98

“He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God” (v3). The psalmist knew that God’s faithfulness to Israel was for the sake of “nations”. By rescuing Israel from Egypt and taking care of them in the desert, by supplying manna and leading them to the Promised Land, “the LORD has made known his salvation. He has revealed his righteousness in the sight of the nations” (v2).

Because the King has come to save us and will come again to judge the earth (v9), we all rejoice together. “Let the sea roar, and all that fills it, the world, and those who dwell in it” (v7).
