Ezra 6

“Let the work on this house of God alone. Let the governor of the Jews and the elders of the Jews rebuild this house of God on its site” (v7). The Assyrian archives were searched, and King Cyrus’s decree was found (v3), confirming that the conquered Jews had the right to return to their land and rebuild their Temple. In addition, the returning Jews were given back the gold and silver objects that had been stolen from the Temple (v5), and additional funds were given them by the Assyrian government (v8). Still small and vulnerable, God’s people were fully protected.

“And this house was finished …” (v15). Each obstacle collapses when God decides to move. Nothing is impossible with Him.
