Acts 10:37-48

“To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name" (v43). Once God opened Peter’s eyes, he realized that the entire Old Testament had pointed to this truth: “everyone” can be reconciled to God through Jesus. Jesus had said to go into “all the world,” and empowered them to do so, yet Peter and the other Jewish believers remained within their own cultural/religious circle. Peter’s vision and the evidence of the Spirit (v45) finally broke the circle open.

“God has shown me that I should not call any person common or unclean” (v28). Once God opens our eyes concerning His love for the whole world, we are never the same.
