Acts 17:1-15

“These men who have turned the world upside down have come here also, … saying that there is another king, Jesus” (v7).  In the Jewish synagogues, Paul carefully taught from the Old Testament that Jesus was the Messiah and the fulfillment of prophecy (v2-3).  While many believed, others were furious and accused the Christians of causing disorder. Those in opposition to the missionaries sensed that their message – Jesus is God’s Son and deserves our highest loyalty – would change everything.

“Many of them therefore believed …” (v12). Those who accepted the Message were willing to have their world turned upside down. When we declare Jesus our King, every bit of life comes under His authority.
