I kings 10
/“Now when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to test him with hard questions” (v1). Because Solomon’s wisdom came from the Lord, it covered all of life: the construction of houses and city management, flora and fauna, ethics and law and poetry. The Queen of Sheba saw that God had given Solomon wisdom so that all Israel would be prosperous and so that the king could “execute justice and righteousness” on behalf of his people (v9).
“Happy are your men!” (v8). God’s original intent was that humans would flourish on earth. His ways and wisdom lead to the fulfilling lives we desire.
