Psalm 91

“Because you have made the LORD your dwelling place-- the Most High, who is my refuge-- no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent” (v9-10). While God’s people experience real hardship and sorrow like everyone else, the psalmist declared that God does not allow evil to destroy us. The “wicked” (v8), those separated from God, are helpless against the enemy, but those who trust in the Lord live protected under “the shadow of the Almighty” (v1).

“You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day …” (v5). Because we know God is walks with us, we don’t live in fear. Nothing can separate us from His love.
