I Corinthians 13:8-13

“Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away” (v8). God gives us many spiritual gifts that are useful for helping us know Him more and for encouraging one another. But these gifts all point to the Giver, and God is love. When we one day see Him “face to face” (v12), we won’t need the same gifts because we will fully know Him.

“Childish ways” (v11) are the self-centeredness, rudeness, and unkindness that are the result of sin. As Jesus is formed in us, we love others the way He has loved us.
