Psalm 145
/“On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate” (v5). While our minds naturally focus on problems, conflicts, and challenges, the psalmist disciplined his mind to “meditate” on God’s wonderful works. He thought about how “the Lord is good to all, and His mercy is over all He has made” (v9). God is the great King and His dominion is infinite, yet He “upholds those who are falling and raises up those who are bowed down” (v14).
“The LORD is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love” (v8). Meditating on the truth of the Lord’s kindness lightens our burdens and comforts our hearts.
