Psalm 112

“His heart is steady; he will not be afraid, until he looks in triumph on his adversaries” (v8). The psalmist said that walking closely with the Lord (v1) fills our hearts with courage. In the midst our battles, we “do not fear bad news” (v7) because we trust that God is with us in every circumstance. When we “conduct our affairs with justice,” our consciences are at peace, and we have nothing to hide. This intimate relationship with the Lord gives us strength, so that we “will never be moved” (v6).

“Light dawns in the darkness for the upright” (v6). We live in a world threatened by darkness, but we walk in the unconquerable light of Christ.
