Isaiah 24

“And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the slave, so with his master … as with the buyer, so with the seller” (v2). Isaiah prophesied that God’s ultimate judgment will treat everyone alike. No matter our status, job, wealth, or ethnicity, every human has “broken the everlasting covenant” with our Creator (v5). However, God’s mercy in Christ is also for everyone. Isaiah’s vision saw people from all over the world giving glory to God (v15-16).

“From the ends of the earth we hear songs of praise, of glory to the Righteous One” (v16). If we belong to Jesus, we will greet our Lord’s return not with fear, but with songs of praise.
