Ephesians 1:15:23

“And He put all things under His feet and gave him [Jesus] as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all” (v22-23). Paul wanted the Ephesians to know their identity. Whatever we were before, God redeemed us and made us the “body” of Jesus Himself; He is our head. He is seated at God’s right hand, far above all other authorities and powers (v21).

Rather than being sunk in discouragement, temptation, or apathy, Paul prayed that our eyes would be opened, “that you may know what is the hope to which He has called you, what are the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints” (v18).
