Psalm 13
/“How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?” (v1). When we are the middle of a time of trouble, it feels like forever. To the psalmist, it felt like God was hiding and that his enemies were winning (v4). Yet he took his complaint to God and asked Him to “light up my eyes” (v3), confident that the Lord would hear and come to help. His steadfast trust in God would one day lead to rejoicing (v5).
“I will sing to the Lord, for he has dealt bountifully with me” (v6). Suffering is not forever. God will not only heal us and help us – He will bless us “bountifully.”
