Psalm 19
/“The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge” (v1-2). Countless generations have looked at the sun, moon, and stars and considered God’s glory. Without speech (v3), the stars and planets communicate God’s beauty and power, and the more we discover, the more we see Him. The written Word of God takes the message further, revealing God’s heart and the way He wants us to live (v8-11).
The fact that God chooses to speak to us is “sweeter than honey” (v10). He knows the stars and each of us by name, and He comes close to us through the Word made flesh, Jesus.
