Revelation 9

“They were told not to harm the grass of the earth ..., but only those people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads” (9:4). Many scenes of judgment in Revelation use metaphors to remind believers that we are safe because we belong to the Lamb. White robes, having God’s “seal” and being named in the Book of Life reassure believers of Jesus’ claim on us. We cannot ‘accidentally’ lose our salvation but must flee sexual immorality, demonic activity, and violence (v20-21).

“And in those days ...” (9:6). “Those days” show us what is important. Jesus has triumphed and works among us by His Spirit. We have every reason to keep following Him by faith.
