I Corinthians 15
/“The sting of death is sin … But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (v56-57). Paul assured questioning believers that they did not need to fear death. Jesus united himself with humanity, dying for our sins, experiencing our death, so that we could share in His resurrection. “For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive” (v22). We don’t know what resurrection will look like, but we know it will be glorious (v35-44).
“We shall all be changed” (v51). The new creation that has already begun in our hearts will one day be complete as we join Jesus in the resurrection.
