I Timothy 2

“For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all” (v5-6). Paul’s main concern was that people were free to hear and obey the gospel. Therefore, Paul prayed for those in authority (v1) so that believers would be able to live “a peaceful and quiet life” (v2), and he urged men and women to live in such a way that would honor Christ (v8-15).

“God desires for all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth” (v4). The way we speak and act can either distract from or strengthen the good news we carry.
