Isaiah 18-20

“And the LORD will make himself known to the Egyptians, and the Egyptians will know the LORD in that day” (19:21). Surprisingly, after prophesying doom and destruction, Isaiah declared that “in that day” the Egyptians would come to know the Lord. He would show mercy and heal them, and together, Israel, Egypt, and Assyria would become “a blessing in the midst of the earth” (v24). God promised to call them all His children: “Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel my inheritance” (19:25).

Even when we were his enemies, Christ died for us. He breaks down barriers between nations and between people and makes us one family in His name.
