ll Chronicles 10-15

“Lord, there is no one like you to help the powerless against the mighty. Help us, Lord our God, for we rely on you ...” (14:11). As the kingdom of Judah faced their enemies, King Asa’s simple prayer brought the Israelites back into God’s care. The power of united Israel under Solomon had crumbled (ch 10-13); Judah desperately needed the Lord’s help. Afterward, the prophet Azariah reminded them: “The Lord is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you” (15:2).

“But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded” (15:7). When we throw ourselves on the mercy and love of God, He will not fail us.
