Zechariah 10-14
/“There will not be enough room for them” (10:10). Although Zechariah prophesied judgment against Israel, he also saw beyond to a great day of salvation and a thriving community. God’s people “will pass through the sea of trouble” (10:11); God’s “Favor” and the “Union” of the nation would be lost because the broken covenant (Ch 11). Yet – just when things were darkest – “a fountain will be opened … to cleanse them from sin and impurity” (13:1). This new “fountain” of mercy would overflow to the nations.
“The Lord will be king over the whole earth” (14:9). Jesus came to redeem those who were near and those who were far (Eph 2), so that in him we are one family.
