Psalm 32
/“Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit” (2). The psalmist discovered the great freedom and joy of living in full, open fellowship with the Lord. When he “kept silent” and tried to hide his sin, he felt the heavy weight of guilt and his “strength was sapped” by shame (3-4). But when he confessed, he received forgiveness (5), found refuge in God’s care (7), and experienced joy (11).
“Therefore let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found” (6). We don’t have to hide from God and carry the burden and consequences of guilt. He invites us to confess, open our hearts, and know his “unfailing love” (10).
