Exodus 3,4

Few, if any, will ever have the type of conversation Moses experienced with God. And, not many will be called to do the work of Moses. The burning bush and voice of God captured his attention as they would ours, but it is the common questions of Moses that link his experience to ours. “Whom shall I say sent me?” “Who am I (that you would choose me)?” “Who will believe me?” Many have asked the same. God was not impatient with Moses; he knew him and knows us. But when Moses said, “Send the message by someone else” (4:13), “then the anger of the Lord burned against Moses” (v14).

Humble questions do not offend God. But questions driven by unbelief, cloaked in false humility, he will not tolerate.
