I John 3
/“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” (1). Being “children of God” means we live at peace. Even when our own hearts condemn or judge us, we can rest, knowing God is “greater than our hearts” and forgives us completely (19-21). As God’s children by faith, we also look forward to further transformation: “when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is” (2).
If we are truly God’s children, change takes place at every level. “We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death” (14).
