Joshua 23-24

“You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed” (23:14). An old man, Joshuareminded the Israelites that they could count on God. From Abraham onward, God had revealed himself as the One who calls, rescues, and protects his people (ch 24). Because he is also the God of righteousness and justice, if they rebelled against him, they would “quickly perish from the good land” he had given them (23:16).

“Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve” (24:15). God has demonstrated his power, love, and holiness to us through Jesus; our choice is whether we will serve him.
