Acts 4

“And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (v12).  Peter and John could have limited themselves to answering the question about the lame mane’s healing (v7).  Most people and religions applaud good deeds, especially when needy people are helped.  Yet the apostles went further, declaring not just healing, but salvation in Jesus name and none other.  This unique boldness was the mark of the Spirit (v13,29,31).

“And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus” (4:33). Miracles, preaching, and healthy relationships (v32) are all signs of the resurrection life of Jesus present among us.
