Psalm 75

“For not from the east or from the west and not from the wilderness comes lifting up, 
 but it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another” (v6-7).  Humans have a strong sense of conscience; every society declares certain things right and wrong, even though our definitions are clouded by sin.  We are frustrated when people “get away” with crime while the innocent suffer, and we are comforted when God says, "At the set time that I appoint I will judge with equity” (v2).

We are called to out the values of God’s kingdom – truth, love, justice, and mercy – while leaving judgment to Him.  When everything falls (v3), His kingdom will “keep steady.”
