Ezekiel 45-48
/“It was a river that I could not pass through … It was deep enough to swim in” (47:5). Ezekiel’s vision of the restored Temple showed a rushing, mighty river flowing from the altar into the city, which is the New Jerusalem, and the water is life-giving. “On both sides of the river, there will grow all kinds of trees … and their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for healing” (Ez 47:12, Rev 22:2).
The city of God has room for everyone, Jews and Gentiles alike (Ezekiel 47:22), people of all nations. Jesus invites “anyone who thirsts” to drink of Him and find healing and restoration (John 7:37).
