Psalm 99

“The King in his might loves justice. You have established equity; you have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob” (v4).  We worship God because of his “might” (his infinite power), and we worship him even more because his power is expressed in justice and goodness.  Our God is not an impersonal energy source or an unpredictable idol; our God revealed His personal character through the “testimonies and the statute” (v7) he gave to Israel.

“O LORD our God, you answered them; you were a forgiving God to them” (v8). We worship our Creator because he has done everything to make himself known to us.
