Psalm 103
/“For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust” (v14). Because God knows us as we truly are (His own creation, yet broken by sin), His benefits come to us in the form of mercy (v1). “He does not deal with us according to our sins” (v10); He does not give us what we deserve. Instead, He heals, He forgives, He redeems, and He “satisfies” us with good in ways that renew us and bring blessing (v5).
Without God, the trouble and sorrow in our short lives would overwhelm us, yet under the care of His steadfast love, we are renewed and redeemed “from everlasting to everlasting” (v17).
