II Corinthians 9
/“He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness” (v10). Paul encouraged the Corinthians to give generously, knowing that the Lord would use their gifts to “supply the needs of the saints,” and that it would be an act of thanksgiving to God (v11-13). Further, when we “sow bountifully” (v6) and cheerfully (v7), our generous and infinite God multiplies our efforts so that the end result is far greater.
When we generously “sow” (pour out effort) into endeavors like family relationships, work, giving, witnessing, and prayer, we can trust that God will supply more seed and increase the harvest.
