Isaiah 23-24

“The earth lies defiled under its inhabitants; for they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, broken the everlasting covenant” (24:5).  God made the earth and the people in it for His own glory, and as long as people continue in sin, the earth itself “mourns and withers” (v4).  Isaiah’s terrifying vision of judgment warned the Israelites to repent and turn to God before it was too late (v18-23).

God created us in love, and His desire is to save men and women from all over the world: “They sing for joy; over the majesty of the LORD they shout from the west … in the east … in the coastlands of the sea” (v14-15).
