Psalm 119:121-176

“I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have given me life. I am yours; save me, for I have sought your precepts” (v93-94).  God had revealed Himself to the Israelites through His promise to Abraham, through the dramatic rescue from Egypt, through wilderness miracles and conquering their enemies.  The Law of this loving, saving God was another miracle: He cared enough to tell people how to live.  God’s Word is better than any teacher, stronger than any enemy (v98-100).

“Your commandment is exceedingly broad” (v96).  Sin traps us, limits us, and makes our lives harder; God saves us and leads us into a joyful and wide-open future.
