Genesis 26-28

“We see plainly that the LORD has been with you” (26:28). God chose Abraham to father a new people so that, through His relationship with Israel, God’s love, holiness, and mercy would be revealed, and “all the families” of the earth would come to know Him (28:14).  Consequently, Isaac’s growing wealth was noticed by all (26:13), by herdsmen and by kings; this was not because of Isaac’s skills, but because “You are now the blessed of the Lord” (26:29).
“For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you" (28:15).  Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob all failed God, but God’s powerful love still triumphed through them.
