Psalm 104
/“O LORD, how manifold are your works! In wisdom have you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures” (v24). Like other ancients, the psalmist didn’t separate reality into “natural” and “supernatural”; everything that existed was created by God and belonged to Him. Along with humans, the young lions and rock badgers “seek their food” from the Creator who designed an abundant world. Plants, animals, and sea creatures are His idea and exist for His glory: “The trees of the LORD are watered abundantly, the cedars of Lebanon that He planted” (v16,25).
“These all look to you …” (v27). We, along with every atom of the universe, exist by and for God. We can trust Him to take care of us.
