Psalm 73

“All in vain have I kept my heart clean and washed my hands in innocence” (v13).  In a moment of struggle and frustration, the psalmist wondered if his commitment to God was really worth it.  He saw sinners getting rich and ignoring God’s existence (v1-10), and he began to doubt his faith.  However, in God’s presence, he realized that his temporary suffering was leading to eternal glory, and God held his hand throughout the journey (v23-24).

“God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever” (v26).  God is our reward and our home forever; today, He gives us strength to endure to the end.
